17TH ANNUAL 55+ HOUSING COUNCIL SAGE AWARDS
CALL FOR ENTRIES DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 7TH FAST APPROACHING
2011 SAGE Person of the Year Named

IRVINE, Calif. — August 26, 2011 — The 55+ Housing Council is accepting entries for its 17th Annual SAGE Awards and the nomination deadline of September 7th is fast approaching. New this year, the 55+ Housing Council will be accepting entries online in digital format at www.55SoCal.com.
The SAGE Awards honor individuals, projects, and programs that have made an outstanding contribution to the quality of life for Southern California Residents age 55+. Categories include: Program of the Year, Project of the Year and “On the Boards” Project of the Year. Sage Project of the Year and “On the Boards” Project of the Year submittals must be accompanied by a non-refundable $100 entry fee. There is no entry fee for Program of the Year.
The SAGE Awards is proud to name Graham P. Espley-Jones, President of Western Community Housing, Inc. (WCH) (a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation), as the 2011 SAGE Person of the Year. WCH was founded in 1999 and has headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. Espley-Jones joined WCH as President in 2002 and also serves as a Director. The SAGE Award for Person of the Year recognizes an individual or entity for commitment, personal compassion and professional contributions to housing and related services for Southern California [Santa Barbara to San Diego] residents 55+.
The SAGE event, which is truly a culinary affair, will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Turnip Rose Grand Plaza in Costa Mesa. Also new this year, Mayer Productions will be assisting with the night’s production and presentation.
