Name Changes to 55+ Housing Council

In order to keep up with the changing demographics of today’s aging adults, the 50+ Housing Council of the Building Industry Association of Southern California has fittingly changed its name to the 55+ Housing Council. The Council’s website URL has also been renamed as www.55SoCal.com.

With this name change, the Council intends to eliminate confusion regarding the minimum age restrictions in communities permissible under the Fair Housing law (age 55 and over in the case of communities specifically designed for this market segment).
